Belmond La Résidence Phou Vao is one of the most luxurious and peaceful hotels you can find in Luang Prabang. Situated on top of a hill, the hotel offers wonderful mountain view, yet you are still close enough to town. By night the lawns are lit with thousands of candles, creating a magical atmosphere.

Last but not least, we are also a fan of Satri House, a beautiful hotel within walking distance to town in traditional Laotian style. The hotel has got a stunning ground with a lush tropical garden and you can tell the owner has put a lot of effort in creating such special ambience with darkwood furniture, buddha statues, Laotian wall hangings, art & antiques. At some point you'll feel like you are wandering in a private residence!
