Best time to visit Cambodia is from November to March when there is very little rain and the weather is the most pleasant.
Hottest months of the year are from April till early June when weather is hot and sunny with average temperatures around 35°C.
Wettest months of the year and also the ‘greenest season' are from July till September when the average temperatures is around 27°C with frequent rain. If you are into lush green countryside, fewer tourists and cheaper rates then this is a great time to visit Cambodia.
The Temples of Angkor, located in Siem Reap, are the main drawn for Cambodia.

Phnom Penh, the capital with its tragic past, is also often combined with Siem Reap, especially if you are intio history. The “Killing Fields” and Tuol Sleng Museum, while disturbing, help one to understand this terrible chapter of Cambodian history. Nowadays, the city exudes considerable charm with plenty to see. Expect French colonial mansions, tree-lined boulevards, beautiful temples and bustling local markets.

Phnom Penh is also the getaway to the coastal town of Sihanoukville. White sand beaches and warm Gulf of Thailand waters combine with a laid back, beachy atmosphere to provide a great little tropical getaway.
Next to Sihanoukville is Koh Kong, the most southwestern province of Cambodia, right next to Thai border. Its tourist attractions include abundant wildlife; big waterfalls and casinos on the border to Thailand. Canvas & Orchids Retreat (formerly 4 Rivers Eco Lodge) is the most wonderful place to stay. Spend your days relaxing on your private sundeck, jumping into the refreshing water, kayaking or venturing into the rainforest.

The idyllic Krabey island, just 10 minute drive from Sihanoukville airport and 15 minute boat transfer, is the setting for Six Senses Krabey which embraces just 40 pool villas set in a lush jungle landscape with a rocky coastline.

In the north, Kratie, a sleepy river town situated on the East bank of the Mekong river, is best known for the rare freshwater Irrawaddy dolphins, and is worth a visit. Next to Kratie are Mondulkiri & Ratanakiri. If you are looking for something off the beaten track, these provinces are your places! They are chock full of natural beauty, with thickly forested mountains, powerful waterfalls and lush green rolling hills.
