November is a great time to visit north and south Vietnam as the weather is pleasant with blue & sunny skies.
Wet season comes to an end in the south this month. Things are different in central Vietnam however as this region is still in wet season with occasional flooding, especially in Hue.
North Vietnam
November is the end of autumn time in the north and one of the best months to visit this region. Expect sunny, dry and very pleasant weather.
Hanoi: Weather is at its best in Hanoi this time of year: not too hot or too cold, sunny, dry and very pleasant. If you want to fall under Hanoi’s spell do consider visiting the city this month.
Ha Long: Sunny, dry & very pleasant weather. It’s an ideal time to visit Ha Long this time of year as milder temperature and warm sea water means you can engage in a lot of activities such as visiting caves or kayaking.
Sapa: It is the dry season in Sapa. Warm, sunny and very pleasant weather. It can get a bit chilly during early mornings and late nights so pack some warm clothes.
Mai Chau: It’s early winter time in Mai Chau. Expect crisp, fresh air with cool temperatures.
Central Vietnam
November continues October’s weather pattern. Hue, Danang and Hoi An can experience days of drizzling rain, concrete skies and cool temperatures. Look out for occasional flooding this month, especially in Hue.
Hue & Hoi An: rainy weather with grey skies. The intense heat is now gone but this region is now prone to flood. We’ll keep you up to date with storm warnings if you visit this region this time of year.
Nha Trang: Pleasant weather with frequent rain. Nha Trang is however much less crowded this time of year.
Da Lat: chilly & dry weather, especially at night.
South Vietnam

Mekong Delta: Very pleasant weather. Mekong Delta is at its best this month when the rice fields are flooded and the fruit orchards are bursting with colour. It is a great time of the year to explore the waterways now that the canals, rivers, channels, wetlands are brim-full.
Phu Quoc: Sunny and dry weather with calm, turquoise clear waters.
Con Dao: The dry season starts in Con Dao from this month. Expect warm, dry weather. However it can get a bit windy at times and the sea can get choppy.
